I get so wound up by people making accusations of price fixing and why isn’t an item £30 cheaper because that’s how much I can grey import it so on and so fourth. This people quite obviously has no business sense what so ever. If you take into account how much it costs to stock a shop, pay staff, business rates, employers and employs contributions etc etc. then they must make some profit, what the point in doing it for nothing, which some people seem to think you should. Shop stock is dead money until someone takes it off the shelves and buys it, even more so if there is Bank Business Rate interest to pay on it.

I think these people need to take account of what happens if retailers are not around any more. Not just Model shops but all retailers. There will be no popping down the shop to buy some accessories, some fuel etc and no after sales service, if they are not there.

So I believe we should support this industry wherever we can. I sure some retailers are better than others and costs are more expensive in some shops than others, but what does it matter when we collectively spend thousands on out hobby and a large percentage of fliers just pile there aircraft in anyway…

As for rip off Britain, I lived in Belgium for a while and their tax and NI rate is a total of 50%. Their VAT is set at 21%. But there fuel is cheaper and you can buy a cheap turkey at Christmas. Point is, its all relative. I guess the exception is U.S.A. where every thing is cheap, but they are destroying the planet keeping it like that….

I like my adrenaline 1 and I am sure if I loose it then I will replace it with and adrenaline 2. Keep up the work Ali and YT you have support of 99.99% of us….

Cheers

Kris

I havnt been too impressed by the vids Ive seen of the showtime, dont think Id swap my adrenaline for one, even now(its been crashed and fixed a few times). Definately would prefer a new adrenaline.

You will be impressed a lot when you see the video by Kyle Woyshnis. . The problem with most of the Showtime videos is that the guys who fly do not try to fly precisely, they just try to do certain 3D maneures but not in a turnaround fashion like Dean Brain flying the Adrenaline (Dean is an awesome pilot IMO).

Here is the link with Kyle's video:
http://www.dodvideos.com/Kyleshowtime_smaller.wmv

From the videos I've seen Showtime has very good 3D capabilities on the other hand pattern guys like Don Sczur say that can fly the FAI schedule very well. It is not only the plane it is the pilot who makes the plane to look good. I'm not saying that the Adrenaline is better or worse than the Showtime I'm just commenting on what you wrote before. I think that Adrenaline is a very good flying plane from Dean's videos I've seen, but as I wrote above it was on Dean's thumbs.

By the way I have a couple of your videos flying the Adrenaline, Synergy 90 and Weston Groove. Very good videos in quite windy conditions.

Hi Any chance we can actually talk about the model?
In my opinion if you think the model is over priced dont buy it, simple as that! but you will miss out because the Adrenaline is a great model, it always comes out to the feild with me and never fails to impress the guys out here that ask to try it, and some of the guys that have flown mine are the best in Norway, and feel that it comes close to models that they have that cost much much more.
I personnaly brought my Adrenaline directly from YT and when i was setting up the model i called to ask questions as i wanted the answer quickly and the guy on the phone asked me to wait a minute, then he transfered me over to Ali at Als as he said he was the best person to talk to, and i got the answers i needed and some good advice that i did not even ask for, personnaly for me i will pay a little extra for service like that.

you guys in the uk need to stop *****ing about 17.5% vat over here in Norway we have to pay 25%

be nice to come on here and read about planes and how they fly and what makes them better, not listen to people that are having a bad day and just want to take it out on someone.

Many thanks for your avid interest in this debate. The question was never about the amount of VAT, unfortunate for you though but about the Price of the Model. It may be different for you over there but I was consider the price of the model as part of the package, it is what you assess before buying and in some cases determines how you fly it also. So for actually talking about the model, I think discussing the price is perfectly reasonable.

As for having a bad day, I don't remember having one of those, or is it that attitude that prompted you to reply to this thread and winge about us... In laymans terms....if you don't like what you are reading then view a different thread, just as I will or will not opt to buy the Adrenaline.

I am glad you had good service from YT and Als, I am sure they appreciate to hear these words from someone they don't know.

Anyway, happy flying, I am preparing some indoor planes for my indoor flying club meeting this weekend, going to take a whole fleet this month as I have been building them all summer ....which is when I should have been flying...Damn..

ok, Hi all, I ve just started building my new adrenaline 120. Anyone using a tuned pipe on their's yet? I have a ys 110 to power it and because the wings are plug in I wont need to dismantle the underbelly so I like the idea of using a pipe underneath not just for a bit more power and less noise but also to push the slime from my ys further away.
I was always thinking of buying the adrenaline and when I saw the new colour scheme It made my mind up. Its looking good and I can't wait to fly it- just need a good pipe, any suggestions?

Take a look at the stuff from hatori.

www.probuild-uk.co.uk

You shouldnt get any more power out of a fourstroke using a pipe. But it will sound a lot better.

Hatori 693 if you can get one or 698. If you want something a bit lighter you could go for the 822 mini pipe. Just as quiet as the bigger pipes but is cheaper and lighter. I would probably stay away from the 821 manifold (meant to be used with the 822 pipe) though as they tend to come loose. You could use an Asano header but at £90 odd they are a bit expensive.

Hi NICKBOOTH,

If the plane is really as good as all the posts keep saying ( and i know alot of them are are Ali's mate's which probably won't be impartial ) i feel that i should shut up and pay up.

I will be ordering mine from Yt and not Als though.

Cheers

Hi 3der,

What set up are you using (servos, engine, etc.). I keep hearing that the YS 1.10 is perfect for this ?

Cheers
