I just picked up this little ARF at the local shop for $128.00. (Had a discount card.
)
Page 7 of the manual says, "Install the aileron servo with the output shaft towards the leading edge of the wing." The photo that accompanies that step clearly shows their aileron installed with the output shaft towards the TRAILING edge of the wing.
Which is it?
Ultimately, does it matter?
Thanks.

I also installed mine with the output shaft towards the leading edge. I used 9202 Futaba servos and ran the lead through the hole in the wing root closest to the ailerons. I tied the lead to the rear most cardboardtube with a small nylon tie, leaving about an inch and a half of lead sticking out of the wing. By taking the straightest path, I didn't have to use an extension in the wing. I have two three inch extensions with colored ends coming out of the reciever.

I just purchased mine H46 for $119, and I'm wondering if I will need to install a reversing harness for the two elvator servos to function properly

does it really matter if they are mounted to the leading or trailing edge? I have mounted them to the trailing edge to make the rods shorter and therefore stiffer.Haven`t maidened it yet so any input here would be great. My guess is that it doesn`t matter to much which way they are mounted????

Asmund I mounted mine the same for the same reasons. I started with a OS70 and quickly found I needed more power. This plane is heavy, I would'nt be scared to put a 91 4c on it.I ended up putting a Saito 82. Tower 75 would be another good option. Plane flies good, mine wing rocks some but doesnt fly like its ~6+ lbs. Two things I dont like; 1. It will not knife edge, at least with a 3D props. 2. The plane is hard to tell if your inverted or upright.
I really like the way the H46 is covered but it is hard to see. I did a Texas flag on the bottom of both wings to tell inverted from upright
What engine are you using?

I am using a evolution .61 and the will not balance out between the min and max cg. I have the battery and Rx as far back as they will go and have added weight. What are others doing?

Super D. Hi, I have flown mine with tha asp xls 52 twostroke, the mvvs 49 on minipipe and now on my sc 91 fourstroke(the best so far) I used some white paint of the kind intended for painting lexan bodies for rc cars to paint the underside of the wings(it doesn`t scale of) I`m very happy with my plane as it have teached me to 3-d
