Hey. I got one of them off of ebay and just got it together. However, mine is a tad different. I have the correct Edge wings and you have the edge fuse and yak wings.

But anyway. I have only 3 short flights on mine. Powered with a YS110. It flies great and performs pretty good so far. I have a problem with mine, that it want to "stop" flying in a corner bank sometimes. It drops a wing BAD. So I don't know what that is? My ailerons might not be set right. They might be angled down and not nuetral or up a bit.

It does one hell of an elevator, no wing rock and drops awesome. The walls are good. Hovers great. I tried a flat spin a couple times, but was getting dark and didn't want to put it in. Couples a little to the belly in KE.

I won mine off ebay for $123 + $15 shipping. It's a nice arf and well worth $140 bux.

Oh. If using the SA100. Mount it out further. or it will be tail heavy.

Does this plane have a two piece wing? I really like the looks of the Yak version.

Iowa,

Did yours come with the aileron hard points pre-drilled, mine did not, it was part of the reason I bought it, should have bought another UCD46 anyhow, I'll post on how she flies after I figure out where to put the aileron horns.

Later,
Mike.

I got mine on E-Bay this week, what a deal. Flew the maiden today with Saito 100. No manual but it goes together easy. Used Hayes hinges instead of plastic ones supplied. Needed to add some nose weight, ( I didn't see the note to mount motor farther out ). Flies good, hovers easy, and lands like a dream. More info later.

gweedgwag i am going to start at the wing tube. but i think it will end up just behind the wing tube and if you want the inches it will be 6.27 inches back from leading edge next to fuselage.also mine weighs 7.7 lbs. and i did not use the heavy wheel collars i also used hs 81 servo for throttle and allof my servo weighed 6.75 oz. i keept it light on the assembly. i was hoping to get under 7 lbs. never happen. i will be taking of standard muffler tomorrow and replace it with one that will be 4oz. lighter. but thats as light as it will ever get. i sure hope it flys light. can't wait for weekend.

watso,
What are you running for a motor? Put a new Satio 1.00 in mine, weighs about 21 oz. Think I need to mount it as far ahead on the mount as I can and I might still be a little tailheavy. Not sure where the CG is either, wander if an email to Sammy Lee would get us that info.....................mstcitabria

Hey guys,
I just signed on with Aviation Models to help improve the manuals and customer service. My email is on the website www.aerobaticmodels.com on the 'Contacts' page. I just uploaded a new manual for the Yak profile. You can right click it and 'save target as'. Pick a directory and in about 30 seconds the manual will be on your hardrive. With Adobe reader you can read and/or print it. Let me know what you think!

Also, you can email me with construction questions. You're gonna love this plane!

IIamury,
Outstanding job on that manual download! This plane is going to be very popular, I love it and can't wait to get airborne. Some of the best wood, heavy duty hardware and cover job I've ever seen on any ARF!

Thanks guys for the kudos. I appreciate your input on anything that will help guys build good flying planes. I don't get my fellings hurt easily, so if something is not right in one of the manuals, let me know -- even if it's just an easier way to do it. I will go through each of the manuals and upgrade them one at a time. When each is finished it will posted on the web site, and "updated" will be next to it so you can tell which ones have been updated. It will take quite a while. So, in the meantime, email me if I can help on a construction question. If I don't know the answer, I'll find out. Sammy, Garret, and I want to improve things, and we want to hear from guys flying Aviation Models' planes.
Thanks again
