I run the Saito 180 on my DP ultimate. Not satisfied. I know a lot of guys are reporting that it is more than enough power, but I disagree. I would not consider any thing less than an OS 1.60. Prefer a Moki 1.8 or the 2.1 for ultimate experience. The Saito (IMO) will produce great scale power, but cant pull off the 3D. At least not mine.

several here have stated a 120-140 YS powers it quite well, even unlimited IIRC. the 140 is similar to the 1.80 in listed power..
depends too on your wieght as previously asked....

I have experience with both moki's and YS and based on this experience I wouldn't favor the installation of my 1.8 into my DP Ultimate. You would sure have power though! However, I think the weight thing would be a disadvantage. In fact, I like the flying characteristics of my DP Ult with my 1.20 better than my YS 1.40. I have my battery pack mounted aft of the former which is located aft of the bottom wing saddle. I think with the 1.2 and the battery in this location my CG is a bit more aft and that's the reason for my preferrence. The power between the two engines is fairly close...I turn a 16x8 @ ~9000 on the 1.2 and 17x8 @~9000 on the 1.4.
I'm not sure you would have enough clearence for the 18x8+ prop required for the moki?
By the way my DP Ultimate has virtual unlimited verticle and it will pull out of a hover, all be it, not with authority. But, remember you have a low low wing loading of about 18oz/sq ft so you can essentially recover from any attitude --- but NOT altitude. LOL
Just a few thoughts based on my experience.
Take care.
Mike
