Default need tips on hover & inverted flat spins

Hi,
I can get my "Knife" profile plane to flat spin, but would like to slow it's descent down. I thought I seen, that they can get them to hover and climb. I've tried it with tons of throws, flaperions, spolerions ect.... Sure would apreciate any tips to regulate it's descent speed.
Thanks alot,

for my pro twister (very similar to a knife), it doesn't take any flapperons, just all the elevator throw you can get. Just experiment with it. Try moving the CG back some. My CG is almost an inch aft.

Default need tips on hover & inverted flat spins

hey how's it going
i know by my number of post it seem's like i would be a newbie
but no just found this site and registered

what i do to get my spins really flat is once im in my spin i give it a lil gas that brings the nose up then, i trim it a lil more to get it flatter with the airlaron's (sp?)

just my advice when you try this go higher up then you would normally. so u can try out a few more options before pullout.
ive had a few planes that just did not want to do them....
so i just keep going higher and then tried verted then inverted untell i found the lil tricks that made them do it. also a lot of the way they spin, is how you set up to go into the spin

by the way rite now im flying a skybolt that does the most pleasing inverted F/S with a one and a half turn out befre pull out

Default need tips on hover & inverted flat spins

Interesting thread, I had subscribed hoping to see more responses so hopefully this one more 'bump' to the top will get some.

I do my inverted spins basically by doing a half-loop and while inverted at the top go full throttle, right rudder, left aileron and down elevator (max deflections on all). On my Cap I havn't been able to get it to flatten out real well, but adding opposit ailerons does help. It falls faster than my Cessna does so I'm just not sure. I will say that I havn't tried with 3d rates yet since I'm a little scared of them on my old radio with no expo (9c for Christmas, thank God!). Will adding MORE elevator to 45° deflection allow me to GAIN altitude while in a spin? I watched a video of Yuri Higuchi (sp?) doing this but I'm not sure how it was done. Wich I had a video showing the plane and in one of the corners showing the stick movements.

You have to go to full stall first, add ail and opposite rudder first, then when the plane start to rotate slowly cross the ailerons to the other direction to flat tha spin and then feed (slowly too) power to slow the descent, if you have 3d rates you may want to release some elevator as you add throtle and to work on ailerons to keep wings flat.
