I've been flying this plane since august, with a TT 46 engine, wich is fine for 3D (very good harriers and rolling harriers)
I've used 3 micro servos hs-81 (ailerons and Throttle) to minimize weight, (around 2 Kgr. total weight).
I did many torque rolls at no less than 7 or 8 feet high, since the engine, does not provide for an immediate response, the rolls are very slow too and they need some help with ailerons .
Of course you may get better performance with a more powerful engine like a good 50 or 53.
To get a very flat spin I had to move the battery behind the cockpit. Then is OK, ( knife edge spin, too).
If you use a 60 engine you will get a very nose heavy plane and may need a lot of ballast at the tail to make a good 3D performer.
This plane can knife edge without any Tx mixes.
The landing gear need to be reinforced on the fuse side.

just put it first flight on it last weekend, fly's grate cant say that much on it as the wind was very strong so no 3D as of yet[&o]
this is one very stable any easy flying plane

i have a os91 FX in mine and the battery up the back of the cockpit, no ballast required at the tail. I'm using using s3010 servos all round.

ill give a full flight report on it soon with some pic's

The c.g. position recommended in the manual is for initial test only and is too far conservative, not certainly for 3D flying.
In my configuration (batteries in the back and light engine) the c.g. is still at 30 % MAC (mean average cord), but any 3D plane should go around 35 %. You will find out when you try to get a good flat spin.

the oley mod i'v done is put a better engine mount on it (of a funtanan 90) the one suppled looked ok for a 60 but not a 90 hehe

Weather looks good for the weekend can't wait

Hi,
I got one recently, and from the experience so far, its a great model! Does everything I want it to do with a Jen 56 and boy does it slow down when landing!
I do hate the UC wire though. Ive got an alu 1 off my old extra, i will be fitting this on the bossanova soon. I might be able to get some video this weekend.
Oh, and i didnt use the supplied accessories with the kit, I changed all the links and pushrods to 3mm Alu.
Some Pics are can be found here:

Jen 56 weighs 480g with silencer, 360g w/o the silencer. What servos are you using it in?
And ive had no problems with the mounting screws, I just moddified and bit under the fuel tank (the hatch)
as felt the blasa as week, and could not hold the lead that I had stored up at the nose. But take my advice
on the undercarrage, the current setup won't last very long at all, especially on a grass field like mine.
And make sure you stick the tank right into the nose, or you will have trouble fitting the wings, I had this
at the field. I dont like the 3004s that I have in my alirons, i just find the roll rate too slow even at a moderate
speed. I might put some 591s in there or some hitecs that I have doing nothing. I will try get some video this w/e
if the weather improves.

I just used some silicon sealer around the tank and former, and filled the gaps at the top with
foam and lead.
