I'm wanting to get one of the dp edges. I have a brison 2.4 in mind to go on it... will this plane 3d w/that motor at least be able to pull out of a hover somewhat, and also how is the aileron control on it since the ailerons don't go all the way in on the wings... does anybody have any experience w/this plane,, I love the plane I want one but just want to make sure.

I have one with a Moki 2.10. Proably about the same power as Brison 2.4. The power is good for 3D except for pulling out of hover. Hovers above 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. The 2.4 will be good but 3.2 will be ballistic. Ailerons are fine, mine does everything very well. It's a great plane, I highly recommend it.

The Saito 2.20 would be perfect in this ARF. DP loves low wing loadings and gas will raise that.

3.2 gas is what u need to do the t-roll well pull out part other than that a smaller motor will do just fine

Great flying plane. I have a Brison 2.4 and it flys great. It does not have unlimited vertical but that is ok by me for now. I have a DA 50 that I may put on mine, then the sky is the limit.

To get enough airflow over the ailerons to stop torque roll, the prop must be bigger than 18". Mine is setup with a O.S. 160 and a mejzlik 18-8, enough power to hover but needs a bit more prop diameter to stop torkin'. BTW, you need to be quick on the sticks cause the good ol' O.S. doesnt have much power for pullout. Its a lot of fun down low.

I had a ZDZ50 on it at first but it flies MUCH better with the lighter setup.
