Default Hover a Great Planes 1/3rd Pitts?

I was wondering, what size gasser engine would I need to be able to hover a Great Planes 3rd scale pitts?...Would something like an Evo 58GX engine be sufficent?...Regardless,what engine do you suggest as a good mate to it?...Thanks for any help... Josh

hmm.....I have the GP Christen Eagle. I used to have a G62 on it and it would hover. But things started coming loose from all the power. Also, it was a bit heavy/nose heavy. So I put my G45 on it and now it balances well without lead and flies very nice. I kinda do miss the crushing vertical, though.....

ok, so the obvious question would be why would anyone want to hover a plane so clearly not designed for 3D? My advice would be to put any 50ish size gasser on your pitts and enjoy a nice flying, beautiful plane. then get and Extra or an Edge for all the high alpha stuff.

Sometimes it is just fun doing 3D with a plane that isn't supposed to. More wow factor!
