On my original version of the Double Vision, the measurement from the front of the hatch to the firewall is 1/4" longer on the left than the right. I figure this is for right thrust, but is it suppose to be this much? I can't get the cowl to line up.
Thanks,
Rick L.

rlaesure Mine had almost not quite 5/16" right thrust built into the firewall. I also thought it was quite a bit. When I flew my "Double Vision," for the first time I was holding on ready to make rudder correction. Not to worry. It was spot on and the plane tracked straight don the runway. Build it just like it comes from the box. You won't be dissapointed with the flight performance of the Double Vision.

How did you get the cowl to line up? My prop hub is so far to the right that I am never going to get the spinner to lineup with the cowl.

I used the old ladder trick when I install my Cowl. I just take a step ladder, rest the gear on the the ladder with the plane in an upright position. Place the engine on the firewall, and then put the cowl on. Move the engine around on the firewall until the engine is centered with the cowl............Mark the bolt holes on the firewall, or remove the cowl, without moving the engine. Presto.....you now have an engine that is perfectly centered with the cowl, and no measuring was required. Good Luck.
