Well here is another one! I have two engines I could use on the plane. One is Magnum 120 4 stroke and the other one is a new OS 91FX, comments? Thanks Joe

The 91 FX, with the Jett tuned muffler. 14-6 or a 15-5.

Rocks it.

Who makes a 15x5?

Yes, if you use 91 FX, the stock muffler is not only heavy, but also quiet (performance-wise). Someone has good luck with 14x5N. This prop really unwinds the 91 FX (12,500 rpm?).

I do have a proposal to use Magnum 120 4-stroke with APC 16x4W or Zinger 16x5. Problem would be weight and size of this 120. You might as well not cowl the 120, because its valve cover will stick out of the bottom, and will force engine mounts outside the cowl on both sides. With the extra weight, you have to put battery pack under stab to balance at 6". But when it's all said and done, you'll have a rocket.

Default errrrr

Sorry, not a 15-5, a APC 15-4.

I really wanted a 14-5, but could not find one.

The Jett made all the difference. I was VERY unhappy with the stock motor and the motor would run for very long with the baffle out.

Default magnum 120

if the magnum will fit with the engine cover on, i would go with it . I don't know how wide the magnum crank case is but my RCS 1.4 gas engine with rear exhaust fits perfectly on the stock 120 motor mount that comes with the U-can-do and the cover still fits over the motor with only a small hole on bottle to clear the spark plug. I would think the RCS crank case would be larger than that of the magnum 120 so it should fit fine.
Hay YNOT did you repare your U-can-do after the accident?

I would use the 91Fx and then build or buy me a moosecan for it.
I have a ST90 on mine. I am in the process of building me a moosecan for it.

Keith wilson from wilson hobbies in Kennett, MO (elvis on RCU) has a 91Fx w/ 14x6zinger and a moosecan on his UCD. And it will rocket out of a hover. He also sells the moosecan and headers for the 91FX. Then all you have to do is bolt it on and go fly.

Hey guys,
I am farily new to 3d flying, I just built a U CAN DO with a OS 91 Surpass 4 stoke, I fly with an 8103 JR radio, I want to program in some cool flaperons functions or spoilers but not quite sure how much to do or if it would be worth it at all, just wondering what you guys who are more expeirenced think, and what you have your U CAN DO programmed to do. (I already have dual rates for 3D programmed)
Thanks for all your help
Dain

Vatechguy, I know your probably sick of hearing this but I'm not finished putting it together. but its not my fault , Im waiting on my third wing from Great Planes, the first one came covered back-wards so they send me a new one to replace it and the new one came UPS and all the wing ribs were broken so I'm still waiting on UPS to bring the third wing.

Thanks for the pics, I see you manages to get it in then!

I noticed the engine is Rear-Exhaust.

Are these engines made by Moki? I was under that impression, but know that the Moki's are side exhaust.

Do moki make rear-ex motors??

Cheers!

Thanks STiger,

I looked at the sight, and the engine's just what i'm looking for.

I'l try and find out if indeed its made by Moki...they do say it's of european origin...

Living in the UK it would make sense if its available locally?!

What about using a Magnum 1.08. Haven't heard any bad things about this engine. Seems like a .91 is boarder line and I really don't care for 4strokes... plus I don't have a ton to spend.
