Yeah ... he's alright, but let's see what happens when an unexpected 15 mph gust of wind throws his foamie into an unsuspecting elm tree. I'm not much on inside flying. I think dogs, cats and airplanes belong outside.

Truely inspiring stuff. Infact it makes what the big boys did at the ETOC look totally pathetic in comparision. How embarassing.
Anybody have the details on the plane/motor combo?

Benoit exhibits great precision and confidence in his flying and his routine is a real attention getter. The hero worshipers of better known fliers should give credit here where credit is due.
Benoit is a member of RCU and I've seen him online. Unless he prefers to remain out of sight he should come here and answer some of your questions. He's from Belgium but apparently speaks English.
The following is a link to one of his photos which shows him kissing a hovering plane that he calls his Fusion. As byoung466 says, his planes do appear to have a fuselage.

Benoit is awesome. I loved his freestyle in the E-TOC. In my opinion he is the best indoor flyer in the world. Shame the folks at the ETOC saw it differently.
That plane is the fusion. It has a full fuselage and airfoiled wings, and Benoit has the motor mounted on a gimbal that rotates with rudder input. True thrust vectoring. Thats how it does that wingtip spiral takeoff thing. If Im not mistaken I think he uses alot of EPP foam in the designs.
Here was his ETOC freestyle video.

Benoit also flys F3Ai indoor pattern - check out this pattern sequence.
Takeoff
Reverse cuban 8
1/4 roll, 180 KE turn, 1/4 roll
Loop 1/2 roll at top exit inverted
Turn, 1/2 roll on exit
Triangle loop 1/2 roll on top exit inverted
inverted 180
one roll rolling circle exit inverted
top hat with 1/4 roll up and 1/4 roll down
2 of 4 roll
push push pull humpty bump
one torque roll
landing
Here's a video of Benoit flying these maneuvers

RE: This guy can fly!
Oh yeah... these guy are just off the scale... they sure look like they're in a totally different league to the other players.
and yet the judging at the E-TOC didn't swing towards these guys?
Obviously the judges need to take their heads out of their own and home grown competitor asses and take a good look around.
