Just hover? Get the Fliton Extra or Edge!

You want a profile.

There is not a glow plane in that size range that will perform like a profile. If you want looks, do a fuse plane, you want to learn 3D and hover, profile.

It is all about weight, the profiles may be up to 2 pounds lighter.

Almost any of them. I see you are in the land down under, the PA Bad Boy is made there and a good plane. If you want a kit, contact Paul Swany and have him ship you a Mojo 40.

I second YNOT's suggestion -- get a profile -- and make it a Mojo.

They are the best 3D-capable planes I've ever flown and real *tough*. You won't believe the punishment these birds will take -- which is always a handy trait when you're pushing your own limits.

If you enjoy flying more than building, fixing or just standing back and admiring then a profile will give you a hell of a bang for your buck.

Pofiles are always lighter ... and you can fly them harder for 3D.

Hey Dav,

if you are like me and don't like the appearance of a Profile 3D plane, you could try planes like the Thunder Tiger Expo 3D (ex. 3D Spirit). With an Os .46 or .50 you will have certainly ample power to pull through most 3D maneuvers. Especially when you start practicing hovering you need a plane with a good power:thrust ratio to pull up, when things go wrong. A plane like the Fliton Extra with an OS 46 will certainly not do that - and for a first 3D plane maybe too expensive anyhow On the other hand the Expo 3D is floaty enough to be not too demanding on the pilot. I also find it a neat plane to experiment with certain mixes, like Elevator -> Flaperon for Squared Loops or Waterfalls. But of course they are plenty of other planes out there. I also had the Magic Extra once and found it quite good, too.

Another full-fuse option, and cheap is the CML Bancee
