How do you hover.
My orientation is pretty good if I look at it from the top veiw. The problem is that the plane is spinning. Is this suppose to happen?
I am not sure because that really makes it hard. I mean would people be standing next to them in a hover while they are spinning. If they do spin then how fast is it.

Spinning in a hover is a Torque roll.
Yes its supposed to happen.
Yes it is difficult to control while spinning. It takes a lot of practice to get the orientation and inputs down.
If you want to just hover, (not spin) tilt the nose slightly forward. This usually helps in most planes.

also non tapered wings will want to hover and tapered wings want to torque roll; if you have enough surface (near the root) you can stop the tendence to torque roll adding opposite aileron

When I was learning to TR I found I was always putting the wrong inputs in when the plane was belly facing me ie 180 degrees round the TR. Then someone suggested to think of 'picking up the down going wing' ie if the wing that appears on your left (the right wing) drops, push the rudder stick to the left 'to pick it up'. This is left rudder and corrects the right wing dropping and vice-versa. Incidentally this works for learning nose in hover on hlis where controls are also reversed. Hope this helps

I own a 90 size super kraft cap 232. They seem to fly pretty good.
SHould I get that U-can-do plane to start torque rolling. That seems to have a lot of center aileron response and conrtol deflection.

In a real torque roll ailerons dont have much of an effect on anything. Power, pitch and rudder are whats going to keep you locked into it.
The UCD is a good plane though to learn how to TR.

Learn how to hover first before torque rolling. Then begin to look at the plane at different angles while you are hovering i.e top, sides and bottom. This will really help you to TR. Most of the times in a TR a blip of up and a blip of right rudder is the correct inputs to make.

Thanks, It`s my own design and pride.... it pretends to mix the lateral area and airfoiled tail of a Seduction and a diablotin wing, I love this plane, really

after rebuild?? hehe (the tx runout of batteries)... it weights 2100 grs, I`m using an OS46fx 12.25x3.75 prop that gives enough authority to pull out of hover but sometimes it wants to quit...

Sure is pretty, has 3D written all over it. Did you use the same airfoil design of the Diablotin? I've got a Super FG (not finished yet) and thought the airfoil design was interesting. My buddy's got an XL w/ the same airfoil and it flies soooo slow. Oh, are your wings two seperate halves w/ wing tube?

I have used the eppler169 airfoil, never have the oportunity to put my hands in the coordenates of the double reflex airfoil of the diablotin but the one I use gives me nice results, stable upright and inverted elevators and very slow flying but it will not instant break at idle; after the crash I added a little dihedral to correct pitch down tendence with rudder and now it does nice stationary flat spins!!
If you have the chance to modify the tail add airfoil to the stab it sure worth the effort, more authority AND more control

How much practice goes into a torque roll. So far I have been spending a lot of time and I can only get it through 2 rotations and then I loose it. It is the first hard stunt I have tried on an airplane.
Is this considered the hardest stunt or are there others.

Depends on how good you are! It took me a while to get used to it but then it depends on the model too. As a guide I reckon it took me the summer to get it good, but then some days I was awesome and other days I was just awful! I think the hardest thing to get used to is the brain telling the thumb the correct inputs as you rotate. Its easier if you can get the aircraft to stay in the attitute that it will naturally TR in.
As far as the hardest stunt goes I think IMO its the rolling circle or rolling loop. I guess the rolling harrier is quite hard but I've not attempted it yet. I think its because all these require all 3 controls to be moved at the precise time by the precise amount for it to work. And no I can't do a rolling circle either!

Thats odd because I can do a rolling cirlce pretty easily. My rolling loops look like hammerheads somehow. I guess some poeple are good at different things.
It must be difficult if it took all summer. I guess I will take my time.
