Stay with the 4 pitch props and adjust for the motor with length of prop. My YS 110 loves the apc 17 X 4, good place to start with your Sato 120. Remember, there is always the left side of the radio. With a good power to weight setup, you should be flying at around 1/2 throttle in hover, which you will do with the 120 and UCD 60. Prop the engine where you are on the high side of the engine's rpm limits. That way, the engine will crank up freely and give you the power you need when you need it. A slow power up engine should be reserved for the pros. We are just humans. ENJOY

You need to experiment with various props to find the best one for hovering. If the plane always seems to want to climb even at lower throttle settings, try less pitch and/or cutting down the prop 1/2" or so. For me the best hovering was achieved with a prop/engine combo that hovered and held at 1/2 throttle, with just a click or 2 more it started climbing slowly,a click or 2 less and it would drop slowly. The summer heat can ruin this best case combination with many a glow engine and some gassers if under powered at the start, makes me wonder if I should have a summer and winter prop?

Forgot one other important factor, wood props(lighter) spool up faster than nylon/glass/composite props. Quik rev up response is helpfull for hovering too.
