Huge fun this AM. CG futher back than ever must be at about 210mm by now ! Sustaining hover but at about 20metres which by every one elses standards is like 35,000 feet.

Has anyone read the article in RCM&E ? Apparently a new supplier is building the Hype for Weston and that they are available now. The Hype featured has the servos in the tail. Has anyone had one ? I was under the impression that Weston were going to rename the Hype 3D because of its problems.

I'll have a hovering movie on Monday that I took today. Would someone kindly host it for me ? It's only a 15 seconds but I'm proud because it's my best hovering effort so far (without crashing).

Did actually chew the rudder off a Chris Foss Wot 4 today on my last of 10 flights. But he managed to land. My mistake, but the other flyer was really OK about it.

i'll host it.. ivve got hundreds of me hoverign mine! ill add pics in here now from today.... my CG is still at 120... i'm not happy with it there though lol

High alpha knife edge pic ... no it's not a hover goen wrong.,., ive got the rest of this sequence aswell as it on video for proof! really does knife edge well... My mate gets loads of KE loops out of his with the throttle pipe... mine comes out fine but doesnt have the power to get height in KE

Nice job Nathan. Good to see it can be done. I'm aspiring to get that low. Give me 2 or 3 weeks.

I was hovering lower and lower yesterday but on one attempt came in (as usual on idle), went vertical and the engine coughed. Just managed to flip it forward and get out of it.

What prop are you using ? Is 12.25 x 3.75 APC best for hovering on a Irv 53 in your opinion. I'm using a 6YG (non-computer), will decide to get an Elipse or 9C soon. Are you using aileron/elevator mix when you hover ?

Surprised you can't KE loop if you can hover. What engine you using ? On my Irv 53 2C I can KE into the vertical, wing over and on the way down will KE back in the same direction. I suppose this is a KE loop ?
