I relly would love to watch those TOC videos in there but my modem(56k) is just too slow for that, so does anyone know how to download those videos?? And why they are not in high res download mode?? it would bee much better to wait a little then watch high res video than watch those fuzzy low res videos.....

I usually right click on the file and "save target as" onto my hard drive. That way I can look at the Video clips anytime I want.

It is probably the resolution of the camera that you are seeing as a low resolution image.

OK, I went to check it out and with WMP 9.0, you can start the video and then do a save media as.... You should be able save the file.

Actually, its the compression that is performed on the video. Even with a low res image, you can compress it to half its original size and get a very decent image. I checked the video format, and the artifacts you see are compression related, and not camera related.

I wonder if we could get the original, uncompressed digital file?

Default videos

open the video you want. on the top of the toolbar click on file, then save, then where you want to save it to. probably my docs. wait a while and it will download to your harddrive. luckily I have a t1 line at work and it takes about 30 seconds per video.

good luck

ps. after reviewing all of them, there is no question in my mind Somanzi (note I didn't even try to spell his first name) was the smoothest and best one there.

Thanks Geistware ! At last I found a way to save those videos. The older versions of WMP doesn't have the capability to save.

Is anyone else having problems viewing these vids? I could before but starting about a month ago I can't view them. When I click on the shortcut it gives me a window and the only option is to save file....then when I click ok it is just a shortcut. Anyone else got that too or am I the only lucky one.

You're not the only lucky one but I think if you get the WMP 9.0 , your problem will be over...

Henri, Chip Hyde is not flying a Yak, he is flying an Ultimate with the prototype engine from Desert Aircraft.

The Yakkiti Yak ? That belongs to Qui Que. I couldn't make out what was announced at the beginning of the clip. I could only get ........"This is Qui Que Somenzini from the cockpit speaking........." Did anyone manage to decipher the rest ?

Whoever compressed these videos designated them as 'streaming only' - which means that folks using older versions of WMP won't be able to save them. I guess that WMP9 has that capability (but has other issues re: crashing...)

I *really* like CPLR's flying style. Smooth and relaxed, never frenetic. Gotta love the way his maneuvers sort of blend together. hover ~~> hammerhead ~~> 1-turn spin ~~> rolling circle ~~> harrier ~~> hover ~~> upright flatspin ~~> inverted flatspin etc...

FYI I was able to download and view all of these videos using WMP 7 on my ancient Powerbook. MacTards unite!
