I just bought my first MK kit, it is a Blue Angle, 60 size. Did these Japanese kits come with an instruction set or booklet? The plans are nice, but there are no notes at all.

What you get are usually some decent exploded view drawings and pieces cut so well they only fit together properly one way. Once you start the building process, it actually becomes very simple to build (except stuffing the electronics into those tiny fuselages).
Do yourself a big favor and use an MK elevator driver and pull-pull rudder, it really simplifies installation and provides MUCH better flying too.

Hi,
As was pointed out above, there are no instructions, just sequential diagrams. MK kits are VERY well made; so you can 'dry fit' all the parts first. If you have specific questions you can post them here - there are lots of folks who'd be happy to help.
I don't have the .60 size version of the Blue Angel, but I do have the .40 size kit which is probably very similar. By the way, it won the FAI F3A (pattern) world championships back in 1971.
Have fun,
Will

Hey,
That's an original MK Blue Angel. The company still kits the BA and they are available from the far east - cost: about $240 shipped to the USA. The original box top showed 2 kits: the Blue Angel and the Fuji. I have an original Fuji .60 kit - same box top.
I think Model Airplane News may have published the plans, they published plans for many pattern planes back in the 70's (Atlas, Arrow, Super Sicroly, Curare, Compensator, Deception, etc.).
MK kits are great!!

PS - You can still get the Curare, which MK is currently kitting (and the Magic and Skymaster - original kits). I can give you the web site if you're interested:
