What you get are usually some decent exploded view drawings and pieces cut so well they only fit together properly one way. Once you start the building process, it actually becomes very simple to build (except stuffing the electronics into those tiny fuselages).

Do yourself a big favor and use an MK elevator driver and pull-pull rudder, it really simplifies installation and provides MUCH better flying too.
