I didn't... don't see a need for it personally. Can't hurt to do it, though...

I just maidened my Twist 150 today. About 10 MPH winds and the plane felt rock solid.
My servo arms were too short so I could not get all of the recommended throw but it was still pretty sufficient.

I used a Saito 180. Overkill. I would ly at 1/4 throttle or less and it would climb at anyhing above that. Oh well I am going to keep it in as I love the extra power.

All in all I had a great time. Did anyone else notice that the prebent pushrods were the wrong size? I had to rebend mine for my servos. I have a tight fit with the wing dowels also since I notice you guys are also.

Flight performence was well, for knife edges it want to roll. I broke my prop on my spinner so I had to use a smaller one but I still noticed it hovered very nicely. I am going to order one from tower so I can get back to flying. I like this plane a lot and it was such a breeze puting it together.

raptor 8,

What is a ddm x can pipe? If it is supposed to give you more power, I can tell you that you don't really need it. I have a stock mag G26 with a bennet muffler and it has more than enough power for anything you can possible do.

what prop are you running. the x can is a ddm can for the car 26 motors and helps put out about another .5 horse. compact, easy install.

I'm running an APC 18 x 6W prop. Tons of pulling power and unlimited vertical, not much for top speed though.

Did anyone else find that the prebent pushrods were incorrect lengths?

I think it was around 8300 last time I checked it. The engine was brand new then. I will check it the next time I fire it up and let you know.

My TWIST 150 is powered by an Evolution 26 turning an 18-6 wide APC at almost 8000 RPM.

Weight is 9 pounds 13 ounces with 2 ounces of balance weight in the tail

It balances in the middle of the recommended range.

I'm using the Bisson "Sport" muffler, looks like a regular 2 cycle engine muffler.

Test flying next week

Fired it up today and checked it with the tach. RPM was 8200. My location is 700 ASL. Temp was 67 Degrees. Humidity was 57%. Main jet is set a couple hundred RPM below max RPM.

Hey Dick. Are you planning on reviewing the Twist 150 any time soon? Horizon just lowered the price to $199.00 so I am seriously considering this plane with a Saito 180.

What does everyone think about using an O.S. 1.08 to power this plane?
