I am planning on putting an OS .91FX on my U CAN DO. How is this working for you guys? I know alot of guys are using 4 strokers. I don't want to put out that $. I was also looking at a Magnum .91 (OS Clone). Great price $135.00 at Sheldons Hobbies. Thanks for the info.

I'm not a big fan of 4 strokers either.
A guy i fly with uses a Supertigre 91 (?). Seems to fit fine, and certainly does the job.
I get my new UCD tomorrow! I have a 91 FX for it. With a bit of luck and a few evenings in the shop, i might get to try it out this weekend.

I have an Ultra Stick 60 with a Magnum .91 on it. I am running an APC 14-6 and it rocks. The plane is only 6lbs 7oz. though. I can hover it at a hair above 1/4 throttle. The Magnum is identical to an OS. as far as I can tell. I think I am going to go this route. I just want to know if the .91 2stroke will do the job.
Thanks
Thanks

That does not look like a standard UCD. Did you cut the tapered tips off of the wings? My UCD has tapered wingtips and the airfoil does not look nearly as fat.

Hi Mttomps Yes I cut off the tips it was terrible in knife edge flight you never new if if it was going to pull toward the canopy or gear.I bobbed the tips and sealed the aileron gap and its like a new plane tracks better and knife edges pretty good now. Mark

How does the ballance work out with the OS 91 in place? Any benefit in using lighter servos in the tail? (HS 225 MG) Or am i likely to add lead anyway? i also have standard servos that might work if i run them on 6 V. I also have a few HS 645MG's available. Those servo leads are going to be long! sheesh! i kwew it was long, but i had no idea!
So far i like it pretty well. Should be a cakewalk to get it all together.
So far i have the engine mounted up. I opted for the engine to be side mounted. Won't look as clean as Mark's but ....
I had to redrill the firewall to rotate the engine to about the 10 o'clock position so the exhaust will clear.

For what its worth I LOVE supertigre .90's but the pitts mufflers out there kill them ie needing a richer setting Ive found the Jtec muffler with an adapter is an AWEsome combo pulls my dago on a 12 X12 124 MPH WOW
