Default CG Balancing

Hi GUys, Hope you guys can clear my doubts.
Heres the doubt: CG Balancing.

the Manual has given a range from for e.g 121 inch to 143 inch.
I normally take the centre CG, which want or how do you go about choosing which CG is the best setup?

After that, do you check your CG with the fuel tank empty or full. i balanced my CG with fuel tank empty and as always i balance it between the range the maual gives me, but when on flying i realise it was nose heavy cos of the fuel. then i added weights to level it off, but i realise that on the fuel finishing the plane wouldbe tail heavy right, although i bever really wait for the fuel to be empty before i land. So can anyone of you guys, point to me the proper way of balancing the CG right from the start. thanks guys.
cheers...
vin

P.S: Oh by the way, i tried shifting the battery but its right to the End so i cant move it back anymore so i've gotta add weights.

c of g is always a compromise unless you fly electric or have your fuel tank over the wing. Of course to do this you need a fuel pump. Balance with an empty tank and use the most rearward c of g that you can handle. The first thing that happens when the c of g starts to get too rearward is when your model starts to poke its nose up on the landing approach. When this starts to happen you are nearing the ragged edge.

Like piroflip 2 says. Remember, CG is a personel preference thing. More fordward for for typical flying. For 3D, gotta move things back and things get toutchy. Not unusual to the see the big dogs with 50-80% expo. in their radios. Correct set up is mandentory for good 3D flying. You will see the pros moving their CG prior to a performance depending on what they want. Don't ask how Chip Hyde can fly a airplane backwards for around 15-20 feet, blows my mind. Can only tell you I can not handle his airplane except on mid and or low rates, most of the guys in the club can not fly my birds "too toutchey". Its seems its all in what you get used to. One thing for sure, gotta push, push, push to learn to fly well, regardless of your age. ENJOY
