Default elevator setup?

well i was playin around with my fun51 today. it was windy, but i don't think that was the cause. anyway, i have all my throws set on "rediculous". it is fun to fly it like that. here's the question. i was playing around doing knife edge circles. trying to see how tight i could get them. they get pretty small, but i reach a point where the plane will suddenly snap out of the ke. so i tried doing loops and tightening them up smaller and smaller. again it seems when i get to the point of a ton of elevator the plane snaps out of the loop. I had a good look at the elevator on the ground afterward and it is a one piece elevator. both halves are moving the same amount of deflection through the whole range of motion, there is no flex in the control rods (nyrods that are braced to the fuselage with landing gear straps) if i give it a ton of left aileron (always snaps to the right) when it snaps out I can correct it, but only if i am gradual adding elevator. it happens too fast if i give it a yank.

so the question is... am i just reaching the point of so much elevator that the horizontal stab is stalling and causing it to snap out of line?

Too much elevator exceeds the critical angle of attack of the wing. Thats' your snap.

Happens the same way with pretty much every plane made. CAPs have a reputation for doing it very quickly but any plane will snap. I jerked a Nexstar off of the runway a few years back and it snapped! LOL Surprised the heck out of me!!!

Yes they do My Mojo moass will get to about a 8' circle without doing it, and exits in a pretty stright line Any smaller and it turns into a Y-not Toilet bowl " Kinda like a little tornado" to almost a dead stop but then putts on down the line
But that is the only Plane I know of that good, most will snap to the opposite KE [>:] but that can look cool too[8D]

thanks for the input. this is the only plane i have setup on "rediculous" throws (well except my indoor foamy) it kinda surprised me when it happened. this was the first time i had flown this plane since i fixed the rudder and ele nyrods. there was a ton of flex where they were not anchored to the fuselage well before. if i jammed ele or rudder it would give a bunch at first then immediately deflect the surface to much less. you could see it wag it's tail. anyway i anchored the nyrods properly and now this thing has so much throw (that stays where i put it) that it exhibits the snap out we are talking about here.

cool thing i discovered yesterday about it... i can do climbing inverted flat spins with this plane now. and knife edge loops. that was a fun surprise!

again, thanks for confirming my suspicions.
