Think about it, Where do you go from here. A nice DA-100 is good for what you are going to use it for now, and if you decide to step up a notch, your ready to rock and roll. Besides, you get what you pay for. Not saying that the others aren't good engines, but just try to get your hands on a used DA and you'll be looking for a long time. Good luck, there is no way to get the power when you need it, if you don't have to start. Take care, Bob.

I think it all boils down to your budget, performance, and what type of flying you are going to do. If I had to do it over again, I would buy a used BME 102 or a ZDZ 80 single. I spent more money on the refurbished BME than a new ZDZ, but I'm happy. If my budget was a little less, I would have gone with the ZDZ and been happy.
The 3W and DA were both too heavy at the time as I wanted to keep my plane light.
