Default Question on setting up dual receivers.

Hi everyone

I've been flying 3D for almost a year and I keep learning though I keep improving. I've seen in magazine [Rc Flying, modeler airplanes..] and seen how they have a dual receiver set up, and also in their pull pull rudder set up they have a aluminum tray with 3 servos attached, i've also heard they use battery backers and dual switches..

Right now all i'm using is regular high torque servos for all controls and a single receiver.

Can anyone explain to me a few things:
How do you set up for dual receiver, switches and battery backers?

I'm not new to flying r/c, I've been flying for over 12 years but just always concentrated in AMA and FAI pattern, and just got into 3D flying only since last year.
I have both a Showtime 90 and a Extra 330S set up just for 3D flying

Default RE: Question on setting up dual receivers.

many ways the way i am presently using it on a 40% plane

2 receivers
2 switches
2 batteries

1/2 the plane is the left side of servos wiht one battery and switch
other 1/2 of the plane is the rigtht side servos

2 rudder servos
6 ailerons servos
4 elevators servos
1 throttle servo
1 choke servo

1-battery and 1 switch and 1 receiver = 3 ailerons, 2 elevator, 1 rudder and 1 choke
1-battery and 1 switch and 1 receiver = 3 ailerons, 2 elevator, 1 rudder and 1 throttle
