Default Sukalyn?

I posted this in the Electrics forum, but thought it might be better here. I'm trying to find a way to get an Airwave Sukalyn. I emailed Bruce at universalrc (thanks wayne geffon) but his email bounced. I also tried to pm him, but haven't heard anything. I really want something like this or comparable for front yard 3D. I would probably even like to try to build one if i could get info and measurements.

Thanks,

Alan

Alan,

E-mail Karl Laun at

His Sukalyn is the one I flew.
He may have some more insight.

Get yourself a mini IFO. The Sukalyn is a deperon version of it. Hobby lobby carries them,

HUGE difference between how the sukalyn flies 3D compared to the IFO..

IFO's are definately fun but not on par with a Sukalyn

Thanks again Wayne. I just sent him an email. I guess one of the clips i saw is of you and him flying in that warehouse. It definitely looks like it flies more like a plane than the ifo's. I'm sure the ifo's are great, i just want more of a 3Der...

BTW Wayne, I thought i saw the guy from Extreme-Flight post that you were coming down to atlanta this weekend to fly some of his planes? Curious want to hear how those things fly.

Hi,
I have only flown it once, it has really been windy here. It is really cool flying. I flew with full rates and no expo. It really flies smooth for what it can do. It will loop on itself. I think I am a little tail heavy. It wants to come over in a hover. Once i get it dialed in it will be a blast. They had a bunch of things in this booth. I think some people got together and shared the booth. I think it was $55. You get a CD with the instructions and also video's. It goes together in a snap. Good luck getting one.

I got a mini-sukalyn at Toledo, had it ready in about 2 - 3 hours and was 3Ding in the backyard. You will love this plane, super simple and can do all this on a $22 GWS twin motor. I do recommend the li-poly small pack from Radical RC. Go to www.radicalrc.com and Dave can set you up economically. Do not try to fly the sukalyn in wind, bad choice. It is for calm evenings in the yard or indoors. It hovers easier than my fun flys. It will not knife edge but it does most everything else. Jeff Williams

Jeff,

Do you remember who you got the kit from at the show?

They call themselves Air Wave. And they are not listed in the directory, That is all I know. I hand the guy the money, he hands me the plane. Did you try the email? Have you ever been to Toledo?

Thanks, i forgot to email them. I was following other leads.
No, I haven't ever gone to the Toledo show. I talked to a guy here
at the LHS and he said it was amazing. He had a booth there.

Try the email, if that doesn't work I am in contact with another person who was in the same booth that was selling Lithium batteries. He may be able to help. I believe these planes are made by a couple of guys working out of their basement. This is not Sig or Great Planes. You should make a trip there someday.

Thanks rhd,

I just emailed them a few minutes ago, but i think they're in sweden. i'll see if i hear from them tomorrow. It would be great if you could find out something from the lithium guy. I'd probably want a lithium in it anyway.

I too, do not have Bruces email. I wish I did, he has posted here on RCU. Call TNT landing gear and ask Tom who the guys is and his email/phone number. He was actually in TNT's booth but at one end. My sukalyn is great, I want another one but I cannot get in touch with them. If any of you make contact please post the email or phone number. Jeff Williams
