Default Modeltech 3-Demon????

I freind of mine is interested in the 3-Demon but cant fnd any reveiws. He intends to use a Glow engine in it, Mini Servios and a spektrum radios system.

We were wondering if any of you 3-D pilots use or have used this plane before.

Thanks!

well i just had my first flights with my 3demon today. with hi-tec225 servos all round and a irvine 39 engine and 12.25x3.75 prop.
it flys slowly just like a 3d plane should. today i flew it in around 15mph wind. had triple rates setup. on max roll rate was fast but i think i'll increase it a bit. elevator was good but to much and it skeuwed in on its self. but it was good rolling circles/curcuits were fun either with minimum rates or with them turned up. rudder helped them flying them slow. on a carm day i expect it will do rolling harriers well. knife edge it didnt like to much lots of coupling and with the rudder same throws both sides it wouldn't maintain left knifeedge as well as right. prop hangs nicely but i would like more throws all round for a windy day but normal max throws as sugestet in the book are pritty much on the money. if the weekend is nice in cold old southern england i'll fly her somemore and get some more info about it.

the only problem with the kit was using the recomended servos hi-tec 225 all the servo holes needed enlarging it took quite a while to do with a dremmel and some files. and the engine mount will need modding if you use anything larger than a irvine 39. ie pushing out the captive nuts on the firewall filling the holes and then redrilling the position for the engine mount. apart from that all went well. as a normal artf build. all the hardware supplied i have used and i think it is up to the job. time will tell.

The 3Demon does great 3D work with the electric brushless. We have 4 of them in our club, 1 electric and 3 O.S .46. Mine has a O.S. .46 AX, the vertical is out of sight and with a little power it will hang on its nose. I'm not very good with the 3D, about 5 seconds is all I can do. The 3Demon will fly as wild or as tame you would want. Landings are a breeze with its slow speed. This plane is a keeper.
