It appears that the marked thrust line is about 5/16" too low for the cowl to line up on my flip, anybody experience this???

I just followed the instructions and it lined up well.
Is your engine inverted? If so, the thrust line of the engine is not in the center of the mount. You're probably aware of this but I thought I'd mention it.

Thanks Bill, I put the engine where they say and it's all OK. I was just trying to have the spinner backplate square with the cowl which it isn't quite. All finished, will fly Sunday if the wind quits howling. anxious to see how she compares to the UCD I have. Trying the Irvine 53 it's runs pretty strong.
