I've been flying 3D (well trying to actually) for about six months now and improving slowly . I've been flying a scratch built foamy (Nasty).
I'm on my third at moment and this one has lasted a while now so I'm thinking about a balsa 3D. My local hobbie shop has recommended a Eflite Extra 260 3D 480 43".
What do you think about this plane?
Any suggestions of better plane that will suite my skill level?
Thanks

Sorry forgot to mention that, yes I'm looking at electric. 5-7 sec is about it for hovers, harriers are not bad, 2-3 rolling harriers are about it and look a bit messy.

My favorite 3d electrics are the Hyperion Sniper and the Skeeter 36. Both will do it all and I can't seem to kill them. I run Hacker 20-20 , TP 1320 battery.

My Feedback: (1)
I built my original Skeeter 30 from free plans available online. I flew it for more than a year and had lots of crashes because it is a very quick plane and I am a slow guy. I still have it. I built a 2nd from plans. Then I got a Skeeter 36 kit from Quicker. It is easier to fly for me, flies great, does everything. About the time my 1st Skeeter 30 was getting beat up I got the Sniper. It is very rugged and does everything I want. I have been flying it mostly, about 3 days a week and it is still in fine shape.
The 1st Skeeter 30 is still flyable. The wing and tail surfaces have never been damaged. The fuse has been broken many times. I have flown the Sniper a little more than the Skeeters because it seems unbreakable. It hovers very well. I think the Skeeter 36 flies a little better but not a lot.
As for which is easiest to fly 3s. I would say Sniper, then Skeeter 36 followed by Skeeter 30. But Skeeter 30's cost the price of the wood and the 36 kit is pretty cheap too.

Thanks for the info Jack. I think I'm going to need something like a sniper or skeeter for the moment. I've been hearing a lot of good reports about 3D Hobby Shops Extra SHP but in reality I don't have the skill level to fly it without trashing it very quickly.
