I am looking for information from anyone who has flow a Carl Goldberg Extra 300, because I am wondering if you can do all of the 3d moves with this bird?

Brian,
This kit has been around much longer than 3D flying has been popular. I built one for my brother and it flies very nice, but it doesn't have the huge control surfaces needed for 3D. Of course the kit can be modified if that's what you want.
I like the Great Planes 60 size Extra based on appearance. But it's not a great 3D machine either.

I'm sure with the right mods it would.. Mine torque rolls like crazy, and loves to hover.. It's very tailheavy right now (I set it up that way) and still is extremely stable..

It will torque roll/hover ok, but in other high alpha maneuvers such as harriers/elevators it is very unstable. I wouldn't recommend it for a 3D plane. It is a great flying plane for precision/IMAC type of flying but not for 3D. There are many other much better choices for 3D.
