Hello all, I want to build a kit in the .46-.55 size range, with good 3D abilities. Both look pretty good, but which do you think is better and why ?
Thanks

I can speak for the funky, it is a good plane, but it sure does not fly like profile, I had to add all the purple area in the belly to make it KE like I want, but with this mod it can ke loop and high alpha KE (needs some mixing), torque rolls easy, harriers better inverted, flat spins inverted not upright, has unlimited vertical with a os46fx with tower mufler (2,1kg) but I use hs81MG servos all around exept for the rudder on 6v with a 4602s lipo and a 3 Amp regulator to make it lighter.
Sure the yak can be easier to 3d, but as I have heard if you want a profile to build the MOJO is very popular

Just like Daniel I can't comment on the Funky. Never seen owned anything. But yes I do have extensive experience with the Yak. Second to my Fusion .90, it's the best bird in my fleet. Sure I only have 27 aeroplanes.

Thanks Daniel and Spacey. Well, I think the Yak is the way to go. This question is for you Spacey, I could also consider the Fusion .46 and I know you have experience with both planes (Fusion .46 and ProYak .46), which plane is the better ??
Thanks
Thanks

Hello Daniel, In your video, the "purple area in the belly" you mentioned is barely visible, could you please show me a close up of your fuse just to have a good image of that modification ?
Thanks
Thanks

I have not flown the ProYak. I do own both the 67" and 52" Fusion. The 67" is a better plane in every way. Not only more precise but more radical. It's control surfaces in the tail are much more effective. The 52" has a higher roll rate but that's the only thing it is better at. I say this because I feel like the ProYak will out 3D the 52" Fusion even though I have not flown the Yak.

Thanks for your replies guys, I've already ordered the ProYak and I'll start to build it ASAP. But I still like the looks of the Funky, who knows, perhaps I'll order it too

I have two omp yaks. one is 6 years old and has been rebuilt extensively once because I just loved how that plane handled. this plane is exceptionally good in high winds. I also won the mojo and the omp edge. the edge does great flat spins and the mojo floats like it is full of helium. the mojo is is my favorite for light to medium winds because it begs to be flown low but if I had to choose an all around capable and fun profile that I would not hesitate to fly in any condition it would be the yak. it has less wing rock then the edge. my yaks are the old style foam core kits not the new tube fuselages.

. Thanks for your replies.
