Yeah most of the OS engines are too heavy for my liking. The 82 works amazingly well on mine or you could go with a Saito 91 or 100 [X(]
Hey Gary, Barry, and Ron! [8D] I haven't been able to fly much lately. Too much snow, cold, and shortness of daylight hours.......[&o]

Hey Rob That's too bad... But same here... It's been unusually windy... Yesterday was
nice for a few morning hours, I started getting ready to go... But the AZ Cold changed
my mind so thought I just go later in the day.... But then.... Windy[:@]
Well I may have fould another source for some of my extra noise... My silcon at the
Tk./F.W. had worked loose and there was some movement around the hole??? Now
just to get the 82 back in before a good day.........
Guess it's been a while going, a few members called to see if I was alright

Gary
I had some Hobbico heavy duty arms and I tried a 5 holes one in just one side . The ones I was using were 4 holes ( both ) . Now both halves are running even up to the end. [img][/img]
the model is now ready to fly. I´m using 2 futaba 9252 digital servos for the ailerons. I noticed that they don´t travel smooth and vibrate half the way . Could be due to the size of the ailerons ? they seem bit fragile. Or may be this servo is too much for the plane ?

ricardo, if there vibrating ALOT then id try some other servos and see if they do it, if its a small amount of vibration then it may be the battery being at a peak charge? then id fly is it a 6 volt battery? my 6volts vibrate some on a full charge sometimes.
real nice job

I also heard tha some servos can chatter a small bit, but I thought it was around center???
I only have a few Hitec digi's on 6v, not on the "Do" but none has chattered yet..
Well getting ready to head to the field for a "Do" check .... Should be fun, that is if
my fingers don't get frost bite at the present temp of 41degs and no wind @6am

Oh Barry. I feel bad for you. I can't imagine cold like that. It's all relative though I guess. I don't think I could get used to it though. Yikes! [X(] Doesn't sound like Do weather.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
Gary... Hope it was a great morning... I remember training my granddaughter, she wasn't
doing too bad, but on the 4 or so day out she said Gramps this is fun, but I don't think it's
for me....
Barry, Rob.... Man.... Our Freezing temps looks to be like summer weather compared, but
here in AZ.. It does not take much "low" temps to start seeing/feeling ice
Well it was "Sort of" a good morning... The "Do" did great for the few flts that I did have on
a beautiful morning.. I used a short servo arm, so getting the right throw is tight and I missed
the setting.. it was close but I could not kill the engine and taxi was a bit faster than I like and
I "Hate" having to work on them at the field.. So I thought just moving the throttle arm to the
upper hole would just give me enough, it took a bit since I did not remove the cowl[:@]... and
that did not work.. I was a bit "I-rate" then.. So I pulled the wing and adjusted there, I started
her with the wing off it was a bit better but a bit off still (WoW.... The S-82 sound like a normal
Saito without the wing on,... needless to say my noise was the same, still not sure on the mess)
but for some unknown reason after a bit more adjustment, I stick the wing back on without testing
so... low/kill idle is higher[:@][:@]... I was going to call it a day and fix all at home, but I went
up as is, knowng I had to dead stick it to land... I missed judged the "Fuel out" time, I just pulled
up from a low invert down the runway she started up then the No Sound... Luckily I was able to
right her and land with no problems... It's ready to go now......
Her's a pic of our Rosebud.... Ohh and the New one from the "first" for Daughter #2 on 1/15

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
I was wondering if anybody has modelled the UCD .46 for Aerofly Pro Deluxe? I happened to find the [link=http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=87&subpageid=237422&ck=]Clearview RC version of UCD .46[/link], but I have no idea if that could be converted to AFPD somehow.
Thanks in advance!

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
Toni, Nice planes on that link. I wish I could use some of those. Very nice. I had a U Can Do downloaded to the sim (AFPD) but when I got a new computer and had to start over and couldn't find it again. It wasn't a very good likeness anyway. Didn't fly like it and didn't even look that great. I see that the ones in your link look awesome.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
I actually also found UCD for AFPD, but it's just a skin on top of an airplane called Aerosynth. Doesn't feel too much like the real thing.
Anyway, now that the cold wave hit us (it has been unusually warm here, like +5 degrees C, now it went down to -10 degrees C), it would be nice to be able to practice at home using the computer. And anyway on weekdays it gets dark about the time I get home.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
Had a slight problem with my CAN DO and strarted reading to see if anyone else had the same thing. PPHHEEEWWWWW, to many posts to read em all as I'm no speed reader. Anyway I was flying on the level about half throttle and gave her hard left rudder. She "popped" and coupled hard to the belly. Wondering what that loud pop was and not thinking far ahead enough that it might be trouble, I gave her hard left rudder again. This time it coupled to the belly but without the "pop" sound and the wing pealed right off. The fuse dove hard and fast with that surpass 91 hanging on front and I couldn't get the nose up to hover for anything. Toothpicks and ribbons. Wing is okay, came down real slow and landed in tall grass. Pulled out the whole mount that the nylon screws go into. Shucks. Bought another one anyway and it's ready to go.
Anyone else see or here of the wing coming off on this one??

Man, I haven't heard of that. I've flown mine very hard from time to time, but I always keep it very slow too. It hasn't ever given me that problem. Break in half...Yeah I've done that, but not the wing.
Thanks
Barry

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
I have not had or heard of that happening.. Though I must admit "Do" #2's wing noise
make me think something going to fly off, But all's hanging on so far after tons of hard flying.
I'm sure your wing bolts were completely tight... what about stripped bolts..
My last outting with 6 flts on the "Do" did great... My tank tightening did not reduce my wing
harmonics... But my engine area seems to be staying cleaner???? I did shorten my breather to
just below the cowl???? It was fun... Ohh my SPAD got it's first streamer on a 3 plane combat))
that's a lot harder than I thought it would be.... Loads of fun... We are shooting for 8 planes next
weekend:-) The plyon racing has been on hold they all say my spad is to fast to be fair, but
they are working on that))....
A snow bird member that I trained last year brought his 60 "Do".. He was telling me how his
makes a lot on noise too..... NOT..... I can see why too, the rib spacing is a lot closer on the 60...
That made me start peeling the wing covering on my spare wing......

bovan, ive never had that happen either, now i have blown the main wing in half comming out of a tip spin, but the bolt mount was still intact, it must have been break time at the factory and someone forgot to put the glue in that spot[&:]
i do reinforce that spot though because i have had one cracked right down the middle between the two bolt holes but never gave it another thought
