Ok first off not sure if this is right area if not please move or let me know thanks. But I but a Twist 60 I am going to put the BME 90 gas engine on it I was planning on putting the Futaba 3005 servos on it. But I am not sure what servo's would you recommend? I can do 3D been awhile but can I won't be doing extreme 3D well somewhat I will as in rolls etc. But I was also looking at the 3004 or the 3010 Futaba servos. I fly helis to and this is my first plane I setup by myself. But I have had years of planes with my old step dad. But I am wondering what config you guys thinks is good?

I already bought the plane I have had a 40 and a 60 twist before. They have great ailerons and that and do good for the 3D I do. I don't do alot of hovering just alot of rolls etc.

I am looking at using the Futaba 3005 or the Futaba 3010 servo's I have one Futaba 3004 I am just wondering what kind of torque do I need to be safe? I know the 100 torque or so would definatly do it but the 3010's are so much fast and a tad less torque and not and wondering if I can use my 3004 and were would you recommend since it has less torque and speed?

i think a gas engine might be too heavy/low on power for a 60 size u might want to concider getting a glow engine

Whats that mean that engine wont work? I was told it will I know it won't be to heavy. I have talked to hobby shop owners I trust and they told me it will give me the power of a 60 glow engine not true? I have ran it and should give me more probably.

Thats what I was told by many and it's been sitting along time. I ran it on a test stand over a year ago and it had lots and lots of power more then a 60 I would say. I was going to try and put it in my 90 heli but would have toook to much conversion and parts weren't available so I am now going back to my old step dad idea put it in our favorite 3D plane the twist 60. We had a 40 before and it was fun but broke in middle alot. We have had a few of them. But this is first plane I am building on my own since him and my mom broke up and he took all his planes and all I have had for over a year is heli's. So yea I am wanting to get this plane going. So what kind of torgue would you all think is needed? Also there is no way this engine will be to heavy or don't think so because we have put 25cc or so gas like weed eater motor's on the old twist we had and no problems. I am sure that would way more then a 60 size 90 glow case changed to a gas engine.

8400 rpm on APC 17-6 in a .90 gas engine??? I don`t think that will happen
But the engine will perform as it would on glow only a some hundred rpm`s less. More like a strong .60 glow and should be fine if you manage to keep the plane light enough

that bme converted engine is fine lots of power dont listen to the uninformed. I run two of these engines and they are great little conversions.

it has a lot more power then any ole .60 size glow engine. You have not used one I can tell by your lack of knowledge of this engine so intead of slaming something you dont know about how about keeping your uninformed comments to yourself. Untill you have experience with one dont go on aobut it being over weight underpowered etc as you do not have a clue. Done with this thread and dumb people.
