Hi,
Does anybody know of a good 3D kit out there? Something to fit a YS 140 L, and can really tare up the sky. I would prefer a wood kit, as to me, it is easier to build and cheaper, although an easy to build composite one would be ok I guess. Ohh, and nothing too expensive either please. (around $500)
Thanks,
Robert.

Why not get the plans for a Typhoon 2000 and modify it for 3D surfaces? Essentially the Excellence etc etc are little more than the standard pattern model with modified surfaces and perhaps a little beefier in areas to take the additional stresses. For $500 you could probably almost build two.

Robert check out www.barnestormermodels.com They are based out of Henderson Ky and they kit a 1/4 scale ultimate biplane kit that is unbeleivable. They power it with the ys 140 and performace is just plain crazy. The kit is very complete and the guy who designed is the man who sells them. He is a very good pilot and his perfomance with this plane just remarkable. These are probably the best biplanes around. If nothing else check out the website for the cool pics!
