Do yourself a favor and pitch the stock gear altogether. When you flip them around they move weight forward and change the CG of a plane that is already nose heavy. I went with the Graphtech gear. They are much lighter and cure the tipping problems. Plus since they are taller they help the plane get off the ground quicker. I am not sure if thewheeel pants will work with them reversed as I never used mine due to being in grass.

Hello all you pro guys,

I have this UCD60 and i'm running a OS91 FX engine. with a APC 16*4 wide prop.
Can anyone please tell me if this the right prop for this engine? If it is so then what is the rpm i should expect out of this combo.
I'm right now getting 9700 with 20% fuel. Some one was telling me that i should expect 11000 rpm with the above combo.

I also have a Katana profile 3d for a 46, i'm flying it with a os55 ax enigne with a 12.25 * 3.74 prop, is this the right prop for this? also what is the rpm i should expect out of this? i fly with 20% fuel.

I'm flying since 12 years or so, but no serious 3d flying. I just started to learn hovering, but not able to, so the best to blame the equipment

I'm trying to learn hovering, also would appreciate if any other tips to learn this, yes i practice in the sim, in G4 and i'm able to hover the yak (without the gyro) very well.

What expo should i dial in on the ail, rud & elev? I'm presently in 30%.

Any tips is welcome.

Thanks & Regards,
Adarsh

Everything sounds good except the prop on the 55AX. If you don't mind a little noise, I would switch to a Tower .46 muffler for the .55 and switch props to a 13x4.

Thanks, i dont mind a little more noise at all! In fact here in India we do not have any restrictions, i can even remove the muffler and fly if it helps.

Thanks, i'll try this.

Adarsh

The new reactors have better landing gear than the older ones. For those that think the reactor can't 3D, someone made a video on RCG of just 3d including hovering about 3 to 5ft. off the ground.
