Default matching dual elevator travel

I recently got a new 7C 2.4 ghz tx. Now that this supports dual elevator, I have to work on getting sync'd travel(previous setup Iused a servo "matchbox"). Does anyone know the process on how to do this accurately, and hopefully - easily. Im wondering how small deviations in control horn placement, hinge lines etc , might be worked around.

The 7C won't help that much on the dual elevator. I have one and know that even though it supports it you will only be able to trim one side (channel) so I had to use a matchbox anyway...Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Grrrrr!!!!

In response to trim...what do you mean? You are able to trim each channel seperately in subtrim menu....then as a single unit using trim tabs.

Linkage geometry is the main factor,....the left halve and right halve halve to be mirror images, not only in deflection, but in the setup. You want to make sure that the L and R severo arms are as parallel as possible using the sub trim feature of your computer radio .....Once you get that as close and possible, sometimes all it takes as little as half a turn on the clevis or ball link to a couple of turns to get each elevator halve perfectly centered. Its also not a bad idea to get a deflection meter, they come in handy when you want the utmost precision........When you are dealing with one servo per control surface there is no reason to use a match box. It can get more technical than i described, but what i mentioned is a good starting point

When you trim the elevator only the master channel will trim, the slave channel won't trim w/ the master channel...

Ah yes....that was the case with the 7Cap(72 mhz)....not so with the newer 7C(2.4ghz). You are able to trim both using the ailevator function/mix.

If your 7c is a FUTABA , it will support dual elevators with a "Y" harness..
We use HiTec servos, reverse one so we do not need a servo reverser..

I think the 9C has sepatate chanels for the elevator... Walt
