Just received my new chinn yak profile...I'm gonna be using a saito 82 as the powerplant. Never flown 3d before, but really want to put in the time to learn. My question is for the guys out there that have flown this extremely capable bird. I want to set up dual rates on my dx7.
I know it will take some time to get accustomed to this bird so i need a docile setting. What setting would you guys reccomend at ow rates(dual rates and expo)?
What settings would you recommend on the high rates?
Thanks!

I only use high rates on mine.
I set it at 40 degrees each way on the rons with 45 degrees each way on the ele and as much as you can get on the rudder.
On my DX7, I used 25% expo.
If I was going to do low rates I'd set them all about 15 degrees each way. Same 25% expo.
This will be a fun bird for you. I like the Xoar 14x6 on that motor with an 8oz. tank.

Another thng to consider with the Chin Yak is the CG. I set mine forward in the CG range when I first set it up and with low rates it was not to bad of a flyer. As go more comfortable with it I maxed out the throws and slid the CG farther back. It gets alot less stable that way but it really is a 3D monster. It is a blast fly and the Saito 82 is a great match for it. I just switched mine from a 55AX to the Saito. i would reccomend digital servos as well. You will need the precision. Trust me.
