15x6 will perform fine. A change is only needed if you don't like the way it flies.

Hi Joe;
Mostly it is correct, but the high compression ratio of the Saito, coupled with the fact that the engine is inverted, might very easily cause a full or partial hydraulic lock. Now, if one starts the engine by hand (I love my engines, but my fingers are more important to me than their welfare) than the chance of damaging the engine is very low, but if you apply an electric starter to the engine, you might - easier than you might think - bend then con-rod. Coomarlins description of what happened to him: first flight for that day, starting the engine, full power vertical till an engine cut-off and than a bent con-rod suggests that this might be the case.

I never really thought much of a hydrolock. I'm using a Cline regulator and I would think the cline would prevent hydrolock. Being that it works by demand. I normally flip my prop over before I start it, but I'm not sure if I did the day my engine died.

Hi again, I was in the store today and there is not the prop that I need so I took 16*6 APC.
how is this prop for 3d for saito 100?
I heard from people that he excellent for 3d, what do you think about him???

Might be a little large for a Saito 100, unless you are burning 30% nitro @ sea level. 15/6 or 16/4 is good. Joe

I agree with Joe. A 16x6 will be too large for the Saito 100 for 3D. Might be OK for sport flying. I use a 15x6. The other two common props are the 16x4w and the 15x4w.

My 12 year nephew was dieing to airbrush it, and when I first saw it I didn't know if I should kill him or tell him thanks, But the pictures really don't do it justice, it really is cool up close and when its flying, it doesn't look dark at all..

I fly with my CG at 6". I've tried everything from 5"-6.25" and 6 seems to be the sweat spot for me.

Hi guys i also fly my u can do at 6" to 6.5". At 6.5" it comes down like a Harrier...... Full ele up. 50% flap up. try it at high alt first until your mix is set up.

...picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago (Saito 100) - so far, i really like it (10-12 flights) - no tail touches yet (APC 16-4W, CG 6" to 6 1/4" back)...

...what i like best so far? - it's ability to fly in the wind (15-22 MPH wind in the video) - i'm using a spoileron mix in the attempts at harrier rolls - 2nd video down on the page - any tips on doing harrier rolls or hovering with this plane would be appreciated...

SALMUNBUG, excelent job, you kept a cool head. A little hot, but well done. Now for what really got me going. Thank you for your choice of formatt on the movie clip. You have enabled me to watch my first video on RCU in about 2 years. Not only the first vid, but of my favorite plane to boot. I'm on a Mac, and with so many members running Windows, all the video posts are in WMV. Thanks for the treat and get those screws back in. Joe

The .60size U can Do 3D does have a one peice wing already joined as a complete wing . The bottom of mine is Red and White checks. It is very light so far, mine is all assembeled except for radio. I am waiting for digital servos to come in. I have seen one .60size U-Cando-3D fly and that's why I went out and purchased mine. I also have seen the .40 size fly and have heard nothing but good reports about it. For my taste and preference .60 size will be better for 3D flight. Set up right weight should not be an issue. Just be ware of the thrust right and down. Great Planes has had issues here. I wrote to them on several occasions and was given conflicting answers. So check into it, they may get there act together in the future. Also beware of wheel pant mounting, when I mounted mine (exactly as stated in instructions) they are very low to the ground. Grass feilds may be a problem, but not sure have not flown it yet. If you look at they way they are mounted it will be clear to see what I mean. Keep in mind when building.
