My setup is this
YS-110 with PSP muffler Hitech 5645's on the ailerons & elevators Hitech 5945 on rudder Hitech HS-425 on throttle 1450 NiMh battery with regulator On a related note, guys with YS-110, please let me know how much is your HS needle turned in. Mine is still rich at 1 1/2 turns. Thanks. |

AUW= 9.2LBS. (NO SPINNER,NO PANTS) CG= 5/8" BEHIND TUBE(CURRENT) WAS ON TUBE FOR FIRST FLIGHTS-MOVING CG BACK MADE HUGH DIFFERENCE IN LANDING SPEED AND RECOVERING TO FLIGHT FROM HARRIERS/ELEVATORS. IT NOW LANDS NICE& SLOW AND THERE IS NO LOSS OF ALTITUDE WHEN TRANSITION FROM ELEV/OR HARRIER TO NORMAL FLIGHT-GIVES YOU A LOT OF CONFIDENCE TO COME IN LOW. 2000NIMH 6V BATTERY UNDER FRONT OF FUEL TANK TRAY(WAS ON TOP OF ENGINE BOX FIRST FLIGHTS) HS625MG FOR AIL&RUDD, HS635KARBONITE FOR ELEV HALVES(THEY ARE 83OZ. @6V), STANDARD FOR THROTTLE. 4/40 RODS/CLEVIS FOR ELEV,STOCK PARTS FOR AIL,2/56 PULL-PULL WIRES/CLEVIS FOR RUDD., USING HITEC LONG ARMS. FUTABA 9C FM 8CH, HITEC 8CH SUPERSLIM RCV(Y HARNESS ON CH8 FOR ELEV HALF&POWER). TRIPPLE RATES ON SW G:DOWN= 45% THROW,-40%EXPO :CENTER=80% THROW,-65%EXPO :UP=100% THROW,-80% EXPO ON AIL,ELEV, EXPERIMENTING W/ 0% TO +VALUE OF RUDD EXPO FOR HOVERING, HAVING TROUBLE KEEPING UP WITH REQUIRED RUDDER INPUT IN A HOVER-IF IT GETS PAST A CERTAIN ANGLE, EVEN FULL RUDDER WILL NOT CORRECT. MIXING-ELEV(MAS) TO FLAPS(SLAVE) UP ELEV=UP FLAPS , SET TO %65 MIX NOW.(USE THIS FOR BETTER STEERING IN HIGH-ALPHA KNIFE EDGE AND ALSO FOR ELEV'S&HARRIERS. (HIGH ALPHA KNIFE EDGE WORKS BEST WHEN I HAVE RUDD THROW SET TO 85%, WILL ROLL OUT IF FULL THROW) MY OTHER PLANES(U-CAN-DO'S)HAVE AIR-BRAKE SET UP AS FOLLOWS:FULL UP AIL W/ ELEV TRIMMED TO LEVEL PLANE, HAVE IT LINKED TO THROTTLE(LINEAR) AND i USED ANOTHER OPEN MIX TO LLINK FLAPS TO ELEV( UP ELEV=DROP FLAPS DOWN TO NEUTRAL) BOTH ARE ON SWITCH C SO ITS AN EITHER/OR TO LOWER FLAPS FROM UP POSITION. THIS ALLOWS PLANES TO DIVE STRAIGHT DOWN (LOW THROTTLE OF COURSE) UNTIL YOUR A-HOLE TIGHTENS UP AND PULLING UP WILL LEVEL PLANE OUT W/O FURTHER LOSS OF ALTITUDE OR IF DOING AN ELEVATOR , JUST THROTTLE WILL STOP DECENT. i DONT HAVE THIS ON MY YAK YET, BUT MIGHT TRY IT UP HIGH FIRST. |

All stock hardware Controled by a JR (feel the difference;):D) PCM9x (in the US its a 9303) No mixing what so ever Weight: dunno :D CG: about an inch back i think, still flys smooth but almost climbs inverted. :)TailTouch. On my YSs I run the HS jet at about 1 1/4 turns out. I fly at 4800' elevation. They seem a little rich but my experience is you must run the YS rich. So I guess it really isn't rich. Soon as you lean them down just a little bit, deadstick. Everytime.
