YOUR Extreme Flight 68" Yak setup?
Hey guys-
I know there are lots of threads one should read before building some airplanes, but sometimes, when your picking out an airplane, you want to go with what seems to be "working" for most people.. So, one thing I have noticed at some of the Electron flying sites, is that there will be a "Setup Thread" of a certain airplane.. No real discussion of the airplane, just a simple "post your setup" thread... So, I was thinking, why not get one of these going on this GREAT airplane.. So, why don't we post our setup's? I will start.. :) YS 1.10 Servo's Undecided :) |

|
RE: YOUR Extreme Flight 68" Yak setup?
a spat is the proper word for a pant. i england a pants are what you wear under your trousers (unless you were boxers) which you guys call pants. all very confusing[&:]

RE: YOUR Extreme Flight 68" Yak setup?
When I purchased this plane one week ago, I asked Chris about the 180. He said that his next choice after the YS 1.10 would be the Saito 150. Seeing the 180 is 2 grams lighter than the 150 and produces more power i thought it only fitting to use this engine. He also mentioned to use the left stick (throttle in this case) appropriatley. To him I replied absolutley. This engine could give this plane a new meaning to the words over powering. I am suprised that more ppl aren't using this combo. anyhow I am looking forward to flying it soon. I will post flying resuls here or on the bid EF Yak 68 thread.

RE: YOUR Extreme Flight 68" Yak setup?
I have Finally decided....
I have a Saito 150GK in the box & Hitec 5945 digis that are going in this sled. |
RE: YOUR Extreme Flight 68" Yak setup?
YS 110 w/ 17x4W APC
5945 on rudder 945's on ailerons (just what we had laying around) 645's on elevator (again, just what we had, would have gone digital if we had 'em) |
RE: YOUR Extreme Flight 68" Yak setup?
Those of you running the 5645's - how happy are you with them still?
I have finally gotten around to getting this bird up in the air - alebit - more in the lines of Atlantae's setup.. :) I am trying to decide on the servo's.. 5645's all around is what I was thinking.. Seems to be a popular choice... So how happy are all you guys running that? |
RE: YOUR Extreme Flight 68" Yak setup?
My setup is this
Saito 1.50 Hitech 5645's on the ailerons Hitech 5945's on elevator Hitech 5945 on rudder Hitech HS-81 on throttle Duralite battery system (7.2V 1400 mAh regulated down to 6 volts) The 5645's are good servos for the money however if I had it to do again I would run 5945's all the way around. And I plan to upgrade battery packs to a TBM 2400 mAh Li-ion pack for more flight time. |
