I've been out of RC for a few years, but saw some 3D foam flyers and got the itch to get back in. I live overseas and thought that getting a kit and gear shipped or brought would be easier due to the light weight and smaller size. I'm interested in some suggestions for a first 3d flyer. I would like one that I could ease my way into the wilder stunts. Ideally it would be small enough to bring the kit down in a suitcase. I'm also interested in suggestions for a good overall setup, as far as motor, speed control, servos etc... Since I live overseas I'll probably be buying everything at once and won't have the option to run back down to the hobby shop. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I don't have to transport it in a suitcase. What are "Supers" ? Is tht one brand or a class of 3D's? What about transporting LiPo batteries? Any suggestions? I'm completely new to electrics, so I would appreciate help with ideas for a complete setup as well.
Thanks
Thanks

These planes will take a Hacker A20-26M to 22L or 20L, 4 HS55 servo's, and I use a 1200-1600 mah lipoly on mine. I dont know about transporting LIPO's, I have a battery bunker to store mine in.

Thanks! I have looked at the Super Extra in the past and really liked it. Any ideas for a radio? I know I need a light weight receiver, but can you buy the radio with the light weight receiver and servos included? I don't want to piece a system together and have things that aren't compatible. Even a simple connector could take weeks to get, so I'd like to have as much as possible from the same company. I've had Futaba equip. in the past, but I'm open to anything as I've sold all my old stuff.

Well the Catabria can be built so the wing comes off, that'll help with transport, or as JH says the minis are cool.
Where abouts "over seas" do you live? you'll have to think about your local laws before you buy radio gear as all countries are NOT the same. transporting lipos should be no probs as i buy them from OS all the time and they come airmail.

I live in Ecuador and it's more than 4 hours to drive to the capitol. I'm not sure if there is a hobby shop there or not. We have a lot of work teams that come and go from the States, so having something hand carried is no big deal.
Please keep the ideas coming!
