Default RE: trying to find floats

Wow! that stinks.. Modelfly / Falcon Trading floats are very well respected. I hope that the Modelfly brand will resurface in the US market. The product were/are high quality and a good value.

Apparently SIG has never gotten the "smooth floats" right. I got word yesterday that Sig sent the latest batch back because the paint was not fuel resistant. This word did not come from Sig, so consider it with a grain of salt.

That leaves ZeeDoo floats from Hobby Lobby. They have been around for years and are great performing floats, too. A little hard to add a water rudder, but my attitude toward water rudders is well documented.

Of course you can always make your own floats. http://www.flyinglindy.homestead.com/skisandfloats.html this article will show you how to fab a tricycle mount, too.

Or you can order any of a number of foam-core floats...completely preferable to the ARF floats but they require a little work.
