RE: Problem starting
bry my advice is try starting it out of the boat with your plane prop on it till you get it running!!then put it in the boat and dont move the needles again lol!!,ive just moded my sc 61 plane engine i used a cooling coil for mine!!.the most likely culprit is the low needle setting id try 3 turns out and see how it goes the high needle valve id say try 2 1/2 turns out but if it starts and then dies its probably the low needle setting ,i had a similar problem when i got this engine (no book) but after a little tinkering it worked great!!.any pics of the mods you did or the boat your putting it in?have a look at my thread (new mono scratch built).also try a search on your engine you might find something on the net maybe even a downloadable manual!!
