Default RE: A 4 stroke engine to start with?

ORIGINAL: Flylow

The OS is most similar to the only engines I have owned which are Saito. Less complex than a YS and they have been so dependable and usually easy to tune. If you don't have to squeeze the most power out of every cubic inch, I recommend the OS.

Hello Kosta 1; I would go for a Saito too, but I remember that you had a bad experience with the Saito distributor where you are, so I guess I would have to recommend the OS 70 over the YS. Either engine would be fine, but I hate the way the new YS' look, with pipes and hoses everywhere. I have gone through a few OS 70's in my time and I think that they are the best of the surpass series, even though they are quite a bit heavier then Saito, and not as strong (my opinion only), and not as pretty. The 70's I have had served me well, lots of power and trouble free if you run them a bit rich.

The YS' I see here are always at full throttle, the guys that have them run them flat out from start to finish. I don't know if they don't throttle well or if they are hard to tune properly, since I have never tried to tune one. I'm just commenting on what I have seen.
No donkey doctor i never experienced any problem with the Saito distributor, because i had never owned any 4stroke,except of an OLD LEMON YS 53 FZ.
I bought it in an auction,in very good outside condition.
It never worked good except from idling.
Idling was good.
A bit quick but reliable.
So,i couldn't tune it and i sell it to a YS guy in another club.
He said that he could tune it with his left hand[:-][:-][:-][:-]!
HE COULDN"T ALSO.
SO,i don't know what he did after that!
Also,
back to the topic,
i am looking for a 4stroke to install in my future kit Tower Uproar 40.
Tower suggests a 52 4stroke but i thought that it is better to go with a 70 size, because i can have more power and also i could use it in other planes in the future.
I must say that nitro,is expensive here in Greece.
For example the 1gallon CoolPower 15% nitro costs 35-40Euros.
So i am buying 5ltr of 5% nitro on 25Euros.
Cost of nitro is something imprortant.
Saitos do require more than 5% nitro?
And also are easy to tune as OS?
