Bill, I set my OV-10 up with the recommended travel on all of the controls, I found that you only needed 1/4" on the Ailerons, I set it up for 1/4" on low rate and 1/2" on the high rate this worked real well, also with the nose lowered it will take a longer take off run due to the wing being lower in the front, I am sure we have a lot of fellow flyer's that will have a commit about this, I would raise the nose up some and I did this helped on take off, I read one commit that the pilot had to reduce power because he was running out of runway and the airplane jumped off, the engines pull the nose down, flying off of pavement will help due to the speed.
ONE, very important note for the guys that are going to use the OS 25's with standard mufflers, you can not install the engines as shown on the plans, the wing will rest on the mufflers, you have to rotate the engines 45 degs, I found this out the hard way, and Rich does not say anything about this, unless he has added it to the notes.
Happy flying.
