BTW, scrapping the plane because the radio is to old is not necessary. needle valves are easy to replace, as are radios. Radio's can be had for as little as 100$(had a LHS offer me one for 75 with transmitter and two servos the other day that was brand new....just didnt have the $$), the needle valve and associated part should cost 15$ or so(trust me ive thrashed two of them on one motor

). Just a thought man. I reinterate(though with less experience to back it up) what has been said above. If youve crashed more than once, dont spend money until you get help. Ive only seen one person make a succesful first flight without help......lemme put it this way, this dude learned to fly a helicopter in about three weeks(and im not talking very short hops, he hovers very well and can do forward flight), he picks up REALY fast.
How bad is it trashed btw? if its reparable( assume its a trainer correct?), and your ready to throw it away, send it this direction and ill fix it and give it to someone who can use it.
