I will attach it to the opposite side to the muffler near the on/off switch.

Also read that I should check the voltwatch just after landing cause if you check it while it has been sitting for a while turned off you can get false readings.

And also will wiggle the sticks to check how much drain there is on the batt pack. Loading the battery so to speak.
Both sound like good advice to me.

Yes losing planes in the outback is no fun I should imagine. One guy at the field had to watch in disbelief as his new plane flew off into the distance and over a hill a couple of miles away never to be seen again. Not sure if a "Be Found" unit would have helped as it was a long drive to get to where the plane was last seen and it could have gone for miles past the hill. The battery would have been dead by the time they got there I dare say.

I hope I never have that experience. Watching it disappear and not being able to do anything would shatter me. Specially a new model with new engine etc.
