All I know is, while most people will tell you how bad the HL tanks are, I'm out logging the hours on mine and enjoying every second of it. The fact that I spent $700 less RTR makes it even more sweeter I won't knock Tamiya as I've built over 200 of their car and truck kits with multiples of most of the good ones. Someday I'd like to try the Tamiya myself. I just don't see the sense in us directing everyone who wants to get their feet wet with the tanks into a $700+ rig. We're not all rich, and you can't overlook that. If you're interested in a HL you can read the review on here that I obviously wasted my time writing
