Yes but you can use a 10X on a park flyer. Are you saying they purposely designed a radio with decreased range so they could market a park flyer only system? Of course park flyers are a large and growing segment of the market but why limit a product if it could be used across the board. Even some of CC's controlers are for large scale planes.
Yup, you can use the 10X....But I'll bet the sales of the DS6 will be many orders of magnitude above the 10X,9ZAP,14MZ etc. combined. And the margins are much greater on the DS6 systems. As you may recall, Spektrum introduced a R/C car system first. I'm sure that someone found out that they could control their car all the way across the parking lot and then came to the conclusion that the same technology could be used to fly in the park.........................just add a few channels.......... Now the rest of us just need more power output to fly and that's up to our lobbying body in Muncie...like it or not...
