I was one week at MIT a month a go and could not get much information reg. this high speed turbine it looked like it was hibernating right now.
But I did see a proof of concept turbine with 50 % efficiency this will really be a step forward I think the best to day are Capstone with app 32-35 % .

Hi Lars,
Thanks for the update. I have a feeling that the progress with fuel cells is pushing the small turbine to the back burner. One of the first applications was to generate power in a package about the size of pack of cigarettes (there I go with those size references again! [8D]).

That's BRILLIANT! No more having to carry around lighters or matches, they are built right into your pack of Dunhills! Just press a button, wait for spool-up to operating revs, then advance the throttle, and hit the re-heat, and light your smoke!
