I don't know what lines you are reading between, especially since he liked Ed's carb swap idea, which would get better transition.
((((Without going too deeply into it, let's say the reason for detuning is because I'm planning to run a larger displacement engine that has good throttle and progression and a lower idle (which is what I'm after) than the originally recommended engine. Extra weight/balance is not an issue with this setup. No muffler as of yet yet since)))) this quote
